The construction and adjustment of the Eclipse wheelchair meets the needs of various bariatric body types. In short, it can be adjusted to match the user's weight gain or loss, or can be rebuilt for another user
The unique wheelchair frame design ensures that the greater part of the weight is taken up on the rear wheels. This lightens the steering and reduces energy loss
Various medical conditions demand a solid seat-pan (fractures, hemiplegia, lateral shifts etc) and providing a bariatric user a solid seat-pan also facilitates a good posture and activeness in the chair
The seat depth and seat to floor height are adjustable and the seat and back can be angled, allowing greater variation in adapting to the individual user
The back is constructed so that users with a protruding behind can get good support to their lumbar spine, a significant problem rarely met by any other chair!
Movement and steering is incredibly easy - the special wheels are made extra hard and solid, making propulsion and steering unbelievably easy, with very little loss of user energy!
Front wheels are positioned in front of the seat-pan, to ensure an anterior anti-tip, which is important taking into consideration that most bariatric users have a lot of weight in front of them. The anterior anti-tip also allow the user to get in and out of the wheelchair without the risk of tipping

The Eclipse 350 Wheelchair has adjustable width and can take a weight load of up to 270kg (595lbs / 42stones)
The Eclipse 650 Wheelchair is strengthened to accommodate individuals up to a weight load 450kg (990lbs / 70stones)
